#25 · How Guarantees Work (Deep Dive)

I'm posting clips to several channels at once — would it make sense to build a scraper that takes a new upload from one platform and auto-submits it to the rest, maybe connecting Make with Buffer? (TikTok seems to have issues with this though.)

I think this is reasonable to try, but keep in mind top channels generally don't submit posts to Instagram/Facebook/Twitter via API — there's a theory that platforms soft-throttle API-submitted content because they want to encourage human-generated posting over machine-generated posting, since they believe (probably correctly) that human content tends to perform better. Nobody's fully confirmed this, so take it as a theory rather than fact, but personally I'm not going to schedule this through an API — I'm going to have real human beings post to all these fan-style pages for me instead.

Would love to see an automation that takes a new upload from one platform and submits it to several channels at once—maybe a scraper that posts to the rest, or connecting Make with Buffer (since TikTok has issues with that). What do you think?

That’s a reasonable idea, but keep in mind that the biggest channels usually avoid using APIs to post because the platforms may soft‑throttle automated submissions; they favor human‑generated content. Personally, I wouldn’t rely on a scheduled API either—I’d have real people post to the fan‑style pages I’ve set up. If you wanted to build it, a simple approach is to drop the raw video into a Google Drive folder, run it through a transcription service (like Whisper) to get the text, then use that transcript to create platform‑specific posts (different character limits for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). You can add accessory flows to pull images or citations from public sources, and finally push each piece out via the respective platform’s API—similar to what I show in my content‑syndication videos.

Why don't you push your Instagram reels to Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok?

I appreciate you pointing that out. It's not a bad idea—we tried TikTok, but it didn't perform; we got no followers, likely due to how we warmed up the accounts. It shouldn't take much time to post across platforms, and it's a free win, so I should probably do it. I think there's probably value there.

How do you use AI in your content creation workflow, and do you have a team or agent helping?

My main workflow is repurposing my daily updates onto four or five social media platforms. I’m only using a small fraction of the possible channels—there are about ten other places I could publish. If I built a full publishing pipeline, I’d double my current results. Currently, I record two video streams: one with my face and a comment card (useful for some channels), and another with just my face. I use AI (Whisper) to generate a transcript, then clip the useful chunks, create Q&A content, and also produce straight‑answer videos. I publish these across Instagram profiles, YouTube Shorts accounts, and similar platforms. Feeding the transcript into a model like Astra would perform reasonably well.

I run a marketing agency and just signed my first client, a fitness/wellness business with just over 1K Instagram followers. How can I grow their page as fast as you've grown your new page (nearly 20K followers in under a month)? Any advice on content structure, automations for posting Reels, or general tips?

Hard to say without knowing the specifics of the account. On content structure: I work with an editor and keep the scripts very simple — just a hook. Our niche (AI news) is already extraordinarily in-demand, so we get some fascination for free, but the actual hook itself doesn't have to be clever — something like 'there's a new free AI video generator you can run locally' works fine. In the first month, the priority is just getting up and running and hitting your first ~30 posts; you optimize after that. Structurally: a simple zoomed-in hook line, deliver it, then cut to whatever visual is attention-grabbing — in our case, jumping straight into the specific software platform being shown.
