#199 · How to Sell AI Systems In Lower Cost-Of-Living Countries

Can you make a full tutorial video on building and automating lead generation systems?

For sure—just check out my video where I start and sell an AI service; you'll probably get the 80/20 of what you're looking for. I've answered enough for now and need to prep for my weekly office hour, where I go into more detail. I'm currently doing brand stats across my channels; growth on the main channel isn't great today, but I expect it to improve tomorrow after publishing a video. I made a recent video called 'most automation content is P star RN' to avoid demonetization; it's my highest‑performing video last month because it was the only one I posted. I know the average viewer is low, possibly because it's not flashy, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Aside from that, I'm working on more stories and improving my storytelling. Feel free to drop any questions below—I'll add them to my stack for a big Q&A day soon. Have a lovely rest of the day, and I'll see you in the next video.

What video should I watch first to start building an enriched lead list and automating outreach?

The very first video I recommend is on how to get up and running with Outbound. If you want to bootstrap, I suggest using Upwork—I have a few valuable videos, including a step‑by‑step guide on how I made around $500K on Upwork. Also look up cold email; my cold email system generated $100K last year, so it’s worth checking. For enriched lead lists and personalization, I have content on deep personalization and have recently published a video called '80% of AI automation basics in 29 minutes'. I’m also preparing a video on making $100K a month as an AI solopreneur and another on making $10K a month in the simplest way. I produce a lot of content, so it can be hard to keep track, but those are the key resources.

What's the best way to do that?

I already had a couple of ideas. I'm going to create docs new and turn reduction community exclusives. The first thing I want to do is create a straight line path to optimize video outreach: cover camera, microphone, video content, what to talk about, how to annotate, other assets to give people, maybe an example script. I've already covered this stuff in other videos and my channel; I'm organizing it for high perceived value because many people struggle with it. I'll go through comments on the daily updates channel to find big sticking points and add them to my thing, then decide what my videos will be about. I'll scroll through comments to source ideas. Leonardo commented on my stuff; he runs AI Foundry, has 19K subs, his videos go viral; he does banger one-offs, kudos to him.

Since YouTube is your main acquisition channel, which of your videos bring you 90% of customers for Maker School?

It's almost entirely my long-form course videos about AI and automation specifically. Let me go and find one of these; it's almost always just like my crazy long-form ones. For example, the N8N full course one—what I learned instead of automation in 2026, watch me start and sell a service in 10 hours, five boring AI automations, and then build your first ad business in 6 hours. Anyway, hopefully that was fun, but damn, man. Pay attention to people's eyes from here on out because you never know.

Can you make a video with practical steps to start an automation business for freelancers or solo agency owners? I’m confused by all the content out there.

I’ve actually recorded a video that answers that exact question, and I’ve been publishing a new video on the topic every day for the past six days. Right now I’m focused on funnel‑building and trying to reach as many people as possible, so you’ll see a lot of repeated content. Think of it as me consolidating the most important points you need to know to be successful in this niche, rather than just shouting at you. Check out the recent videos for a step‑by‑step guide on launching an automation business as a solo agency owner.
