I just found your scaling roadmap but it's from 2 years ago. What do you think needs an update? What would you do differently if you were starting over with your agency in 2026 or 2027? I'm a freelancer trying to scale into an agency.

What would I do differently if I were starting over with my agency in 2026 or 2027? Great news for you — I just recorded a video that talked all about it. It's literally right over here. The actual title that I started with is 'How I'd Learn AI From Scratch If I Had to Start Over,' and this is actually what I would watch. I also touch on agency stuff as well. So honestly just check that video out — it's on my main channel, came out earlier today.

Which videos do you recommend I start watching first to set up my agency?

I’d start with the 80 % of AI automation basics in under 30 minutes—watch the ‘AI Automation Basics’ video. Then move on to my full Naden course or the Make.com Nick’s Archive playlist. Those will teach you the automation skills you need. The 80/20 approach gives you the basics quickly, and remember that automation is just a business like any other; once you learn how to build an AI automation business you’ll do most of the work with a few simple tools.

If I want to catch up with what you're doing, where should I start? Is there a solid foundational video?

Start with the "80% Automation Basics" video – it's about 29 minutes and covers the high‑level concepts. Then watch the "How I Made $100,000 a Month as an AI Solopreneur" video for a concrete example. After that, check out the "Build a Profitable AI Business in 2025 for Beginners" video. Once you have the basics, you can dive into the NAND course or the Make.com tutorials to learn how to actually build software and automation solutions, and also watch the "How to Build and Scale an Automation Agency" video for agency‑specific guidance.

If you had to start your AI agency from scratch, what channel would you focus on first? Cold email, LinkedIn DMs, Instagram, Facebook groups, or something else? Why and what would your first 30 days look like?

Don’t limit yourself to one channel; test several and match each to your existing skill set. For example, if you’re strong at aesthetics, branding, and the first five minutes of conversation, you’ll do well on Upwork but might struggle with cold email. Run both in parallel, track results, and after a month double down on the winner. Set a consistent goal (e.g., 10 LinkedIn DMs a day, 100 cold emails a day, 20 Facebook‑group messages a day) and treat the experiment like a scientific test.
