#112 · How quickly could you scale an AI agency with $10,000?

Are there any videos that are contributing to this?

Yes, the video that's driving the recent subscriber spike appears to be my NA full course, which is about six hours long. I’m not entirely sure why it suddenly took off, but it’s definitely gaining traction again and seems to be going viral, with a noticeable spike in views. I wish I could see the real‑time view count, but overall it’s contributing significantly to the growth.

I've seen a lot of smaller channels grow faster than million-sub channels — it's easy to hit a plateau where YouTube 'cages' you. Subscriber count is really just an ego metric at this point; shouldn't you aim for better funnel numbers instead, like new/casual/regular viewer splits?

That's an interesting point, but what else would I aim for — a percentage split of new vs. casual viewers? I could hit some arbitrary target for that today. I feel like I need something to actually progress toward. I do understand the danger of a plateau where the percentage of new viewers relative to your subscriber base goes down over time — I felt that at 100K subs, and it forced me to adopt new strategies to keep growing. But as long as the absolute number of viewers keeps going up, I'm fine with it — I don't care that much about the relative performance metrics, because what I actually care about is getting big enough to meaningfully influence adoption of these AI models at scale among small-to-mid-size business owners and average people. I don't see anything better than subscriber count as a goal right now, but I'm open to being told I'm wrong about that.

Why have there been a recent surge in NAN videos, and do you still recommend the makeover N for beginners?

The surge is because N has blown up like crazy—so many people are interested. My subscriber count exploded when I switched from just Make.com content to editing content, and the graph shows massive growth over the past year. I’ve been posting almost every day, refining thumbnails, and optimizing the channel. The platform is great and cooler than Make, but it’s also more complicated. If you’re a beginner, focus on Make first to build a system that generates ROI, then worry about everything else later.

How much has the channel grown in the last 24 hours?

The main channel is now at about 140K subscribers (1417), up 829. The daily updates channel gained around 40 subs, and Instagram rose by roughly 200. Maker School churn is around 23.6%, roughly steady. I estimate that missing the welcome thread cost me about $75k in lost revenue. To cut churn, I plan to rewrite Maker School content, launch cold‑email campaigns, and improve the onboarding flow, which could save hundreds of thousands over the next months.
