#202 · 60min open Q&A on how I make $400k/mo

I'm going hard on lead gen sales — is anyone with a strong tech background interested in partnering up? Also, is this a good option for people not based in the US who struggle with US time zones or with English as a second language?

I've come to realize Maker School has way more value than just the community content itself — I hire from it now. It's thousands of people who've specifically learned how to be effective at generating revenue. I'm not saying you have to hire from there, but people from my daily updates channel and Maker School are a great place to hire from — and when someone makes a hiring post in the community, it adds value back to the group too, so the incentives line up well.

What is the best community to join?

Maker School is the best community by far—it offers high earning potential, covers basic to advanced monetization, sales call mastery, agent foundations, platform overview, government and payment basics (within my limits), and NN fundamentals. I answer about 90% of posts daily in the premium community, and I’m adding automation content to make it a one‑stop shop. While I can’t give legal or tax advice, the community provides the knowledge and network to start and grow your automation business.

Should Maker School add a job board, and how should we structure job postings?

I’ve actually thought about adding a job board to Maker School because we get a lot of people posting jobs—sometimes $1,750 for a creative project, for example. We see roughly one job post a day. I encourage people to include budgets in their posts because it makes the listing more compelling. Instead of vague “looking for a partner” language, posting something like “Looking to pay $1,500 for a collaborator” is much clearer and attracts the right talent. Standardizing that approach could be a good way to improve the job‑board feature within Maker School.

What’s the difference between Maker School and Make Money with Make.com?

Maker School is a zero‑to‑one community designed for people who have never made money selling automation services and want to get up and running quickly. I walk you through everything from start to finish, with a day‑by‑day accountability program and a lot of beginners, so you get hands‑on guidance and a supportive community. Make Money with Make.com is a higher‑level community focused on more advanced topics, weekly hang‑out calls, office hours, higher‑level discussions, and deeper value‑proposition work. Both have community value, but the latter is geared toward people who already have a foundation and want to scale further. Check the sales page for the full list of differences.

Would you be open to doing a workshop for my viewers/community in exchange for value, without any compensation?

I think the idea is reasonable, but I’m cautious about adding new workshop partners. The people I currently work with at Maker School are folks I’ve known for years and trust deeply. Even if you’re more credentialed, I have to protect my audience’s experience—one bad workshop could cost me $20‑30 k in lifetime revenue from unsubscribes. If you’re still interested, we could try it in Maker Zero, my free community that just hit 557 members. It could serve as a proving ground; if it delivers value we could expand the partnership and eventually bring you into Maker School, but I’d need to meet you and get to know you first.
