I plan to join your Maker School next week and am connecting from Norway; what time zone are your weekly calls held in?

I hold my weekly calls at 9:00 AM Mountain Time on Wednesdays, and we also have Mondays for the agency hot seat. If you're in Norway, that would be around 5 or 6 PM your time, and we have other members from Norway who join, so you should fit right in.

How many live coaching calls per month are there in Maker School?

Right now we have about seven live coaching calls per month. They’re currently scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays, though I’m considering moving one to Monday. The number may change in the future, but it’s roughly seven calls each month.

My inboxes are in the warm-up phase, which I think takes about two weeks — is that right? I have time to prepare before the campaign starts. What should I do to get ready, and should I join Maker School now or wait until closer to when warm-up ends?

Warm-up actually takes two to three weeks, not two. I'd recommend joining Maker School as soon as possible rather than waiting — we walk you through the entire email setup and warm-up process, and since you've already started your warm-up, factoring in the roughly 21-day onboarding period actually puts you about 2 days ahead by joining now instead of behind. That's the most direct path to being ready when your campaign starts.

Is Maker School worth it and feasible for someone with a busy engineering schedule?

Yes, Maker School is worth it—I built it because I believe in its value. Even if you’re studying or working a full‑time job, the program is designed for about 2–3 hours of work per day (averaged over the 180‑day sequence). After an initial adjustment period, you’ll focus on high‑ROI, power‑law activities: roughly 80% of your time on the 20% of tasks that drive most results. That breaks down to roughly an hour a day of focused outreach, 20–30 minutes tweaking cold‑email campaigns, community‑based outreach, and another hour going through the core curriculum (starting around day five or six). With that schedule you can absolutely make progress.
