How do you create your daily Instagram news video, and where do you get the editing and overlay video?
I don't create the Instagram news video myself; I have someone who helps. We use a simple Premiere Pro template with a screen-recorded asset (like a platform sign-up or image) at the top and my talking head at the bottom.
He works with a single editor. He spends about ten minutes a week recording a batch of shorts, then the editor assembles them. They gather AI news from multiple sources, filter out low-value content, and the editor writes scripts from the valuable material. He reviews and tweaks the scripts, puts them in a Google Doc, imports them into a teleprompter, and records lines like 'You don't need ChatGPT anymore. Wait for blank.' He gives the footage to his editor, who uses a simple top/bottom template to create the videos. They're bringing on additional team members to help the editor avoid bottlenecks. The editor then produces videos showing the tools in action, they spend a little money to sign up to the platforms, and publish on Instagram, aiming for one short per day.
You can get all the assets for our videos in our community. Just go to the links section and you'll find a bunch of editing assets for Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and other tools.
I don't make videos all day, and it's not just me anymore – I have a bigger team now. I create daily update videos, batch them, and pay an editor to stitch them together. Some of those updates get repurposed for the second channel, which saves time. I aim to publish a new video roughly every 48 hours. The process is efficient enough that it doesn't feel overwhelming.
I've been getting a lot of questions about camera setup recently, so I plan to create a community-exclusive video that walks members through the simplest, highest-quality camera setup. I'll cover specific products at various price points, demonstrate the setup using my iPhone, and give a behind-the-scenes look at my recording process. This will help maximize video quality for outreach. After that, I'll create Instagram profiles for the person helping with the work, which should take about 15 minutes. I'll hold off on less-defined tasks for now but will definitely complete the four main tasks I've outlined.
