#66 · AI Automation Systems for Coaches, Creators, & Consultants

What are your thoughts on building systems for creators, influencers, or community owners, specifically the five systems you mentioned?

I think building systems for creators, influencers, or community owners can be valuable, but they have to be tailored to the creator’s voice. If you want to sell a system, it must deliver ROI and feel authentic; otherwise people can spot AI‑generated fluff. I usually keep the tone spartan and write as if it were an authentic piece. For community owners, a CRM that captures leads from DMs and tracks sign‑ups is useful. Automated DM reply services for short Instagram DMs can work, but I avoid them for my own community because authenticity is crucial. Authenticity will become a premium asset as more people automate. There are many business models where these tools make sense, especially for creators who care about profit, but many creators may not see much value. One high‑impact model is repurposing long‑form content—take a podcast or video, cut it into 10‑15 short posts for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. Each piece can be worth over $1,000. While larger companies have bigger budgets, individual creators can also generate significant revenue from this approach. The model is high‑leverage: a small team can produce massive output, and as long as you manage the multiple hats—engineering, sales, marketing—you’ll have a few years of strong demand before the market saturates.

How do I create something?

My old strategy didn't work, so I'm restarting it. I list all the systems people are currently selling and riff on how to position them. I also create a website for a killer AI automation agency, using Arthur's site as an example: hero header that speaks to the audience, minimal text, case studies, social proof, how you do it, reviews/testimonials, CTA with buttons pointing to the same place, built with lovable bolt dev or Webflow templates. This is a great community exclusive; I already did one for copyrighting, but I should compile all community exclusives. I'm also working on a Bloom video, Han Solo topic, networking, connecting accounts, average day, LinkedIn outreach, and cold approaching business clients.

What is the ideal customer for an AI automation agency that repurposes and distributes content, and how can I find them besides LinkedIn and Upwork?

Ideal customers are creators who are just starting to standardize their content, have around 10K–100K followers, are at the early stage of exponential growth, and are looking to outsource or work with a team to reduce costs. You can serve them by using a transcript to automatically generate posts for ten social platforms—either fully automated or with a person handling it. To find these leads, scrape Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube for channels in that follower range. For example, use a YouTube scraper with about fifty search terms to get roughly a thousand videos for $5, which corresponds to about six hundred creators. Take the top ten percent (about fifty to a hundred channels), sort them by subscriber count, and then use a YouTube channel scraper to pull contact details from video descriptions—Instagram, website, etc.—giving you Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles. With those contacts, take one of their long‑form YouTube videos and use your system to create customized content for each platform at a marginal cost of just a few cents. Finally, run personalized outreach based on the video or another asset, ensuring each message includes some level of customization.

What does entrepreneurship look like after AI and automation make selling your own work less viable? I hate the idea of being forced to become an influencer. What does that mean for you and what will you teach people to make money?

I think the fear of becoming an influencer is based on a vague idea of what an influencer is. I don’t want to be an influencer in the traditional sense, but influencing is essentially acquiring attention, and attention is the primary commodity today. We’re trying to capture seconds of attention from many people and channel it into some shared resource—video, platform, whatever the future holds. Right now being an influencer isn’t the most valuable thing; working on AGI in a big research lab probably is. When AGI arrives, influencing may become the number‑one activity for most humans, creating new jobs that are more about entertainment and status. I don’t know exactly what I’ll be doing in five years when small‑business problems are solved, but I’ll keep building a platform to influence people and distribute value.

If you had no money and no audience starting from scratch, what would you do differently?

With no money and no audience, I’d go straight into cold outbound because I’m good at it—I’ve done door‑to‑door and learned what gets people to talk or kick you out. I’d start with Loom videos or manually written cold emails (not scalable but effective) to pitch people directly. Then I’d bootstrap: 10× the number of mailboxes, sell a simple AI service, and have clients cover costs to keep things simple and low‑cost. That’s the core approach. (After answering, I note I wasn’t going to record today but we’re doing it now, then I share my brand stats: YouTube 93,779, Instagram 127,175, daily updates channel 4,716.)
