I use the Samsung Q2U, which costs about $75 CAD on Amazon.ca (roughly $45‑$50 USD). It's the cheapest decent mic around, and with good settings it works very well. I also run my audio through a post‑processing library called Oonic, which I've been using for about a year after a podcaster recommended it.
My camera is a Sony A7C and my microphone is a Samsung QTU. The perceived quality comes largely from AI post‑processing using the Phononic library for mixing and mastering. I also test each module iteratively—adding one, verifying inputs/outputs, then adding the next—to quickly isolate errors when debugging.
I use a Samsung Q2U; it's pretty good. I also use a tool called Aonic that touches up my voice, changes the reverb, and stuff like that.
Yes. Use OBS for recording. Capture at 3840×2160 (4K) resolution, set bitrate to at least 5,000 kbps. I use a Sony A7C camera, edit in Premiere Pro, and enhance audio with Oonic (available at toic.com).
