What do you think about my next steps after earning $5‑10K on Fiverr to start an agency?
Thumbs up. Thank you very much.

I don't know the context in which Matt Larson said that, but I'm interpreting his comment loosely. As much as I like him, I don't watch all his content. He likely means the agency model is best if you're in the top 1%. In terms of earning income (not scalability), I'd say starting an agency is the best choice for a beginner transitioning from a 9-5 job to entrepreneurship. The top 0.1% remark probably refers to intelligence, capability, resources, or some other metric. I definitely recommend starting an agency if you're at the start line or making that transition; it's by far the best choice with no better alternative. An agency is essentially the same service you provided as a corporate employee, except you now manage the client relationship yourself instead of your employer doing it. This mirrors what you did before, but now it's your own business. To minimize the gap from zero to one—between being an employee and an entrepreneur—you want to make that transition as small as possible, which an agency allows by keeping the work similar while shifting ownership.
Keep going with your agency; the industry isn’t dead. At 15 you already have a five‑year head start on me (I started at 20), so you’re ahead of the curve. Focus on building business skills rather than technical skills, since technical skills are decreasing in value. Continue with your cold‑email outreach—you’re doing great—and don’t worry that a single tactical implementation will make or break your future.
If you're already at $20K monthly profit, the math works out perfectly to reach $1M revenue. Assuming $25K monthly revenue, you'd need to triple it to $75K/month to hit $1M annual run rate, which gets you close to $900K. You're doing a good job, but remember growth isn't linear—you'll hit fulfillment bottlenecks, need to dial back, improve fulfillment, then find new channels, possibly hire. As an opportunity, you should join my Make Money with Mike program for more one-on-one time; it includes a $25K/month agency program that could help. If you're already at $20K-$25K profit, you're pretty close.
I would absolutely just keep doing what you're doing—it's clearly working, so just do more and better of it. But I wouldn't allow that to stop you from experimenting with other approaches. Spend 80% of your time on the two models that have been working for you so far, and 20% on something else, like cold outreach or email. I would also significantly improve my prices: in Maker School, people sign $1,500 for one project in their first two weeks, then the next product is $3,000, then $5,000. So, just price more with every deal.
